Research Interests: Conservation assessment, land use impacts on soil, hydrology and water quality at watershed scales

Brief description of current research:

Dr. Tomer’s research is currently focused on Conservation Effects Assessment Project (CEAP), a USDA-ARS project focused on determining environmental impacts of agricultural conservation practices on soil and water quality and hydrology. His recent research has included assessments of conservation buffers and tile-drained watersheds. He has also conducted research on targeting of conservation practices using terrain analysis techniques. His interests in climate change research include climate change impacts on soil and water resources at a variety of scales.
